Open position for Postdoctoral researchers in Gravitational wave physics
The Erlangen Center for Astroparticle Physics (ECAP) at the University of Erlangen-Nürnberg is seeking outstanding individuals for a Postdoctoral researcher position (f/m) to work in the field of experimental gravitational wave techniques, in particular in the area of laser and quantum optics.

ECAP offers a strong environment in the field of astroparticle physics. Research in the institute includes (but is not limited to) involvement in Fermi-LAT, H.E.S.S., CTA, eROSITA, ANTARES, IceCube, KM3NeT and the Einstein telescope. The postdoc will work closely with ET colleagues in Germany and abroad.
Successful applicants should have a PhD degree in Physics, Astrophysics, or related disciplines. They should have a research background and provide evidence of outstanding potential. Relevant experience in experimental techniques in gravitational wave physics and the ability to work in a team is seen as beneficial. Guiding and advising students in their PhD, Master's and Bachelor's theses is expected.
The full-time position is available from 1 September 2020. The contract will initially be for 3 years. The contract will be in salary grade E13/A13. Application deadline is 20 July 2020. Later applications may be considered until the position is filled.
