The Department of Physics at the University of California, Santa Barbara invites applications for a postdoctoral position in Gravitational Wave Physics with Prof. Tejaswi Venumadhav.

The selected candidate will have the freedom to pursue an independent research program in any aspect of gravitational wave physics and astronomy (theory, data analysis, inference, and interpretation), as well as the opportunity to participate in collaborative development of innovative methods in gravitational wave data analysis and inference, and integrate them into existing tools. There may also be opportunities to co-advise graduate and/or undergraduate student research.

The initial appointment will be for two years, with the possibility of renewal for a third year, contingent on continued funding and a reasonable level of research performance.

The Department invites interested researchers to submit applications by January 1, 2022 for full consideration. The application must consist of a curriculum vita, publication list, statement of research interests, and three letters of reference. The position will remain open until filled, but materials should arrive by the deadline to ensure full consideration.
